Ok, thought I'd start a thread where people can post their little tips and tricks and semi-legal things to do in DOD

I'll start us off

On dod_anzio as the allies you can jump over into the Axis spawn area. The central section where the allies appear from, small central alley near to the bridge there is a sandbag wall, you can jump onto and over these sandbags by jumping onto the far right hand side then by jumping onto the middle of the sandbags and over you go.

This is frowned upon quite a bit however, but due to the difficulty of getting to the sandbags I feel if you manage to get that far without anyone stopping you they deserve it :p

On the new dod_kalt as the Allies (haven't tried it as the Axis yet) but in the boat house on the second floor, when an Axis is there you can see their shadow moving across the floor, and as it is wooden you can shoot through it, it will take 2/3 shots to kill but basicall if you get into a position watching the Allies side of the wheel house, prones you have a good view of the underneath of the top floor, and when people walk across you can see their shadow. Then you open fire and can kill people :)

Also on dod_kalt at the bridge if you go down onto *** frozen river and on the Allies side on the left side of the bridge there is a wooden X structure with two poles, you can jump onto the diagonal wooden beams and onto the wooden post, this gives you a view of slightly around the corner to the Axis side, you mainly see the tops of their head but it give you enough visibility to take anyone out who is trying to run round and lob a grenade in.

There are a lot more, I shall try and get pictures so you can all see what I am on about

dod s is a poor imataion of dod 1.3

As is CS:S over CS1.6, but let's not get into that :)

Nice post Vader, I think screenshots would be a good demonstration of things, as you wont have to type out a description of every part of the map then.

/have to say i really love DOD:source just wish it had some more outdoor maps.. rather than all CSS style close quarters. But with time i can see some really good maps coming out for it. KALT is a a step in the right direction.

No real tips tho. Just save your sprint for when your relaoding and lie down a lot when your shooting to avoid recoil.

I find being a sniper the easiest.

If ive got my pistol on quick change, q, i can get loads of kills.

For example if i snipe someone i quick change to my pistol to walk quick again instead of going slow with the scope, or right clicking out of scope. then swap back to sniper. Mostly things from CS help in this tbh.
