Day off school!

Got into school today and found out that a main water pipe had burst somewhere, meaning that we all got to leave at about 10 past 9!

Love it when things like this happen, eg with snow / heating not working and getting to go home.

Anyone else had a day off work / school before for a weird reason? :p
 
Had one in the office I worked in last. Went in one day to see the front door smashed in, all the laptops had been nicked, as well as the 52" plasma, and some VoIP phones. Needless to say, couldn't do much haha.
 
yes i had a day off uni today cos i got up and realised i had infact been drinking all night and i was horribly hungover. it was awesome.
 
It snowed one time. So naturally Cornwall freaks out. People forget how to drive. Think the world is coming to an end etc.

Got the day off, but because of all the crashes I couldn't get home. Stayed at a mates though.

Oh I got my very first day of work off as well. Because I didn't change buses at the intersection. My boss was amused.
 
I had yesterday off uni because the lecturer for my only lecture of the day was busy helping a police investigation. He didn't say anything else so I have no idea what he was helping them do, but he's teaching us Internet Working so....
 
I hate days like that now im working, generally means i have to go and audit computers and check whats not ok :<
 
I had today off of uni because I always have thursdays off of uni - oh and I only have to be in tomorrow from 17:00-18:00. I have seven hours worth of lectures a week :)
 
Had days off School for snow and heavy rainfall in the past. With uni still yet to get a day off (apart from weeks im free of any labs). Labs that last 9am - 5pm suck a lot!

No, but I only do 2 and a half days a week anyway :p
 
I couldn't find my lecture room and came home again? Does that count?

Monday and Tuesday are my real uni days of 'work' - wednesday I have off, thursday I have 2 hours, Friday I have 1 hour. Apparently I have less next year... + a dissertation.
 
Had wednesday off as I was supposed to go to a uni interview (booked the day off work) but i've got a better offer already from a different uni. It's nice having a slower relaxing day like that.
