Thought I'd give Chester Zoo a look today. Jumped on the train from Manchester and really enjoyed it. Mixed weather - dull with the odd bit of sunshine poking through.

Condor (I think). f5.6, 1/500, ISO 250, 300mm

Jaguar (again I think). Shot through wire fence hence the slight bluriness! f5.6, 1/1000, ISO 800, 300mm

Baby Orang Utan :) f5.6, 1/800, ISO 1600, 300mm.

I had the ISO setting on auto.

It wasn't a particularly bright day and the sun only came out at brief moment.

The 2 monkey shots were also indoors and weren't as bright as they seem in the photos. It was shafts of sun that saved me with them! :)

I suppose I could have dropped my shutter speed but why bother when the Sony A580 high ISO performance is so good?

First 2 are ruined for me due to the fence being quite obvious, 3 and 4 i like, lighting on the 4th I think is good.

I can't see any issue with ISO in any of them.

For the last 2, again, are these taken through a fence? areas of the photo indicate they are but look much better than the first 2 :)

Just the last tiger one is taken through a fence. The jaguar one probably looks like it is because I've screwed around with the saturation in the grass to try and make the jaguar stand out more.
