my partner and i are borrowing my sisters car to get us to chester at some ungodly hour in a week or so, but need to sort out insurance.

my partner has been driving for 4 years, and she is over 21, so Dayinsure looks great, but i havent a clue how it works! is it simply a case of doing everything online, paying a tenner for the day, and bam, insurance? i dont drive, so i dont have a clue!

It's that simple. It's up to YOU to make sure you and the car fall under their terms and conditions.

Then you fill in a form, print off your cover note, and job done!

Here is a summary of their conditions for you:

a) No modified cars
b) Over 21 only
c) Over 25 only on Group 18-20 cars
d) No imports

:)

It's comprehensive, it's cheap, it has a £500 excess IIRC and in the event of a claim all cash goes to vehicle owner not you.

does "no imports" include cars that have been imported from brand new and sold through main dealers?

It'll be Japanese grey imports - things like Evo's, FTO's etc.

With the exception of a few things, virtually every car sold from brand new through a main dealer is an import :D
