days in a year

ok how many days in a year how many days in a week look at my post get a calculator out and start doing the math its either 364 days in a year or 365 days but having decimal points for weeks and days.

THERE ARE 365.242199 DAYS IN ONE YEAR.

THERE ARE SEVEN DAYS IN A WEEK.

THERE ARE 52.177457 WEEKS IN A YEAR.

Right?

Now have some Horlicks and a nap.

It's pretty obvious that the approximation comes in saying that there are 52 weeks in a year. There are definitely 365.24 days in year, there are definitely 7 days in a week, so we can conclude that - since 65.242199 / 7 = 52.177457 - there are ever so slightly over 52 weeks in a year, which doesn't throw anything out of whack whatsoever.

but if you use that figure for a calculation with other figures it dosent work.
try to use your method using the figures 7800 per year, the answer is £150 per week but your calculations leaves it under.
 
Moral of the story is: When creating a maths-related post on a forum, make sure it is 100% watertight and even then don't claim everyone else is wrong.
