db9 serial com port

does anyone know where. i can buy a 9 pin serial com port that can be soldered on

its only a input connection. not male to male etc

Soldered on to what? You can buy them from most electronic hobbiest shops I think.

I had to do something similiar for my dissertation but didnt have time to order a header so I just cut a DB9 wire in half and attached the wires to the board. Wasnt very graceful but I'm not an engineer.
