So i need to stick mine in other slots? does it make any performance differnce?

Well i just tried switching them and my computer wont boot lol, help please lol

The computer powers up but doesnt do anything if i stick them in the other slots, should i be able to? am i doing something wrong? doesnt make any sense to me. faulty board?
