DCS HTC vive GTX 1080

Curiosity here guys. I've been playing DCS with my VIVE on a gtx 970 and while fab, I have to set pretty much the lowest settings to get good framerates.

Does anybody own a gtx 1080 and can attest to how decent it is in DCS?

Is it just that game? I've just ordered a 970 (second hand) for my Vive setup, hoping it will be up to the job

Yes it is, its more down to poor coding than anything else. GPU utilisation is very low in comparison to other games.

My 970 has run everything well with the vive mate, nothing to be worried about on that score.

gtx970 runs well with most games, but not everything. I am also considering upgrading to maybe a 1070.

There are games on the vive that do stutter (low frames) quite a bit while playing, Chair: greenroom, hover junkies, the gallery etc... these are all quite heavy games and when on full they can stutter like crazy especially the gallery!
