DCTs mode Ganged or Ungaged?

I changed from an Abit KN9 Ultra with a 5200 cpu and using ram running as dual channel up to a Gigabyte AMD board with an Athlon X2 7850 BE with 4 Gb of ram in first two slots.
Does the DCTs mode setting affect the 7850 BE?
Does ganged(single channel)do anything with this cpu?

I've got a 7750BE and what I've read on different websites unganged seems to be the way to go, thats what I'm running mine as.
