hi everyone, currently at home I'm on a adsl connection and I'm looking for a router that will run dd-wrt/tomato firmware as I'm looking for more control over QOS and access. From what i can tell they don't support adsl routers that include a modem. Was thinking about maybe buying a adsl modem then connecting that to a cable router that supports dd-wrt but I'm not sure if it's possible. Anyone know if this is possible/had experience of doing this?

cheers

dd-wrt supports the Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H which has adsl and i installed ddwrt on it.

ddwrt is held together by bits of string, BrainSlayor seems unable to fix new builds without breaking something else.
i gave up and went back to my old router.

if you do try it it might be better to choose a router ddwrt is known to work well with and carefully check the ddwrt forum to see the problems you may face.
