I'm trying to set up dd-wrt to restrict internet access on my son's PC along the following lines:
1) After 9:00pm only allow web browsing + skype (e.g. blocking online gaming)
2) After 10:30pm all internet access cut off until the morning
It's easy enough to do 2) in DD-WRT by setting up an access restriction based on his PCs IP address, however 1) is giving me more problems.
You can block certain services/ports, however there does not appear to be any way to block everything apart from certain services/ports.
I have tried creating a 'service' which blocks ports 1025-65535 (I presume most online gaming would use higher ports than this) however this appears to block web browsing, even though the ports which I would expect to be needed (i.e. 80 for http, 53 for DNS etc.) should not be affected...?
Has anyone had any luck doing a similar setup with DD-WRT (or suggest any other way of achieving the required effect)?
Thanks
