I don't think it exists I am afraid.

But having 4gb in an old DDR1 system seems quite a lot, I think you'd be really limited by the CPU (I can't think of a CPU that runs on DDR1 that would take advantage of 4gb, only in rare circumstances)

I'd imagine it would also cost around £100 to £120 for it as 2 x 1gb of DDR1 is £45 to £50. For £100 you could pick up an older core 2 duo setup, as in motherboard ram and CPU?

i was thinking that was case. i have looked around but i cant find any. nevermind i will ask my friend to think about a new upgrade.

A lot Intel chipsets are limited to low density 1GB sticks, although I may be wrong. The more common and slightly cheaper high density sticks won't work on a lot of systems IIRC

Edit: Wikipedia to the rescue

High density DDR RAM will suit about 10% of PC motherboards on the market while low density will suit almost all motherboards on the PC Desktop market.

Have you looked on Ebay, isn't cheap though.
May not work though.

EDIT: d_brennen Your correct i think, long time since I used DDR1.

As others have said, it's time for a upgrade.
