ddr 1 memory question

I have just brought a new motherboard
asus M2NPV-VM
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Socket_AM2_Asus.html
and a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0GHz (Socket AM2)

I want to set it up soon as, but i have only got ddr1 memory, can i use that until i get some ddr2

thanx, need some cheap memory now then, as its only for a media center
