DDR 2/3

I thought the sticks are different I bought DDR3 for my mobo, its OK I'm very happy, but playing with Sisoft Sandra it said this.
Supported Memory Types ECCDIMM Registered DDR2DDR3.

so as a test can I put my spare DDR2 in.

Nope only DDR3, The chipset can support both.
