I have an Asus maximus VII Ranger with a 4790k. i have Kingston HyperX 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - BlackRed (HX24C11BRK216-OC) this ram has overclockers.co.uk on it, so figured here might be able to help. i cant seem to find that ram anywhere any 2400mhz duel channel. its all 1600.

not sure how to increase it, 4 slots so could double it, but would be 1600mhz and 2400mhz, or just buy 4 new sticks, or go for 2 16gb sticks. ddr 3. anyone got any suggestions.

Your motherboard cannot use 16 GB DIMMs, so you're limited to adding two 8 GB DIMMs and unless you're doing anything especially RAM-intensive just get RAM that matches what you currently have.

thus leads in to the original problem of i cant get that ram. and i cant find any 2400mhz ddr 3. so do i just buy 4 new sticks of 1600. or 2 sticks of 1600 and have the 2 2400 drop down. if anyone knows where i can get some 2400mhz ddr 3 that would be great but all i see is 1600 or out of stock
