I built a system from somone back in august, used one of the first conroes off the self.

Anyway it blue sreens all the time, I've just looked at the mini dumps and a full dump but can't pin it down to anything.

Ran memtest and micorosft mem test, ran ok however the microsoft one hung last night, but did not report errors.

Also tried to do a clean install of XP but this also crashed in setup.

This leads me to believe its a hardware problem with the system.

So I went into the BIOS and changed the memory from 266 up to a faster frequency, since doing so it has not crashed, just running prime95 on both cores just now then 3dmark.

Whats the point of this post? Well just wondering if anyone knows if I have me memory at too low a frequency it can crash the system?

I want to make sure that I have this fixed for my customer.

Think yourself lucky, i have two sets of ram, a set of faulty Geil DDR400 that wont give me smooth running at DDR300 with REALY lose timings, and a new set of Crucial 10th that wont run for love nor money on my board at any setting either (though that is prob as i can only supply 2.0V and it needs 2.2V).

Time for a motherboard that actualy gives my Crucial what it needs to fly...... if only the RD600 wasnt so artificialy inflated in price..... when did it become "ok" to charge people £200+ for a motherboard? That would make it almost the most expensive item in my system!
