Yeah, cant remember what it is though.

No performance drop either afaik

sure one of the asrock board offer that, run a conroe, with ddr or ddr 2 , few have it around form, but dont think it a good overclocker thou.

The board only does pci-e x4 so if you're using a pci-e card you'll have a performance drop, but yes it does both AGP and PCI-E, you can use one or the other, not both at once (someone has asked before).

oh obviously you couldn't use both at the same time.

oh 1 more question are like 2 of the memory slots ddr and the other 2 ddr2?

ok going to start new thread with a new rig with this mobo, everyone tell me if it's compatible

cheers

Yeah 2 DDR slots and 2 DDR2 slots, as with graphics, the obvious can't use both at once... ;) (has also been asked before  )

I considered the board myself, there's a whole thread about it here.

lol yes that link is already above. seems like a good option for a half upgrade

I don't like the idea of my graphics card being slowed down, so i didnt bother.

If you're AGP still it would be fine.

2 slots are ddr and 2 slots are ddr2 and you can only use one or the other. That still lets you have 2 gigs though.

The 4x PCI-E slot will only really drop your performance by 5% at most. Probably closer to 2 or 3% unless you have a high-end card. And the 8800s won't work at all on it of course.

It's a very good board as a kind of half way house solution to a good upgrade.

Mine is running at 300FSB with RAM at 187 and low timings. RAM is 1GB cheap dell DDR400.

That gives me 2.1Ghz out of my E6300 which does me nicely. Nice stable performance apart from that but there are issues with the Audigy 2. I finally got mine to work. The only thing wrong with my system at the moment is the dodgy RAM. That's more because it's cheap dell crap then anything else. Getting a few crashes every now and then that requires a reset. I don't think that's the boards fault though.

oh so you have the board then? are you running agp or pci-e?
