I am thinking of upgrading my memory I currently have 256MB DDR PC3200 in one slot and have a spare slot. Each memory slot can hold DDR PC3200,DDR PC2700,DDR PC4000 with a maximum of 1GB per slot. I was thinking of putting 1GB in the spare slot and leaving the 256 in the other slot. Whats the difference between pc3200 and pc2700 witch one is best as the price is about the same for both. I know the pc4000 must be better as its more expensive.

PC4000 will only be any good if you can run your memory faster then your processor if running at stock settings dependent on cpu, motherboard setup. Unless you are overclocking so the fsb is up to 250mhz theres no point in getting PC4000 over the cheaper PC3200
