ddr1 --> ddr2 --> ddr3

DDR2 all the way :)

Either that or wait a year until its at a price worth paying for unless its a very slightly little performance increase your after.

If you think about it your going to pay £250+ on some pretty poor DDR3 RAM.

When it does become mainstream and DDR2 has started to fade away by that time there will be better RAM for less money but more importantly there will be better DDR3 motherboards out.

DDR3 right now is a terrible investment.

New OCZ DDR3 is very good, but it's about £400 - £450, although does 5-5-5-15 at 1333 Mhz. DDR3 though at the moment is a bad investment and I'd still much rather have DDR2 until DDR3 comes down to a reasonable price.
