Can you guys recommend me some good DDR2 memory that will do atleast 1120MHz, for a X48 based mobo.

I have some OCZ ReaperX 1000MHz memory but because of the stupid oversized gimmick heatsinks, i cant fit 8GB on the mobo, heatsinks are too chunky for all 4 slots taken up.

And is there any cheaper 2x2GB PC2-6400 memory kits around at the moment that are great at clocking?

In a review the G.Skill PC2-8800 only OC'ed by about 20MHz, i'd prefer if it went higher...

There must be some 1000/1066MHz memory that can clock well, to 1150+MHz? I've seen some brands reach 1250+MHz but cant remember what...

Have you taken a look at corsair dominators?

Model number is TWIN2X4096-9136C5DF

I am not sure if these fit your criteria.

Oh wait you said pc-6400 would could clock that high sorry my bad.

Or do you mean the team xtreme and cellshock stuff?

Basically anything that will clock to 1130MHz or higher, dont care what type or brand it is, 6400, 8000, 8500... aslong as it gets to that speed and dont have oversized heat spreaders...

cant find those corsair dominators?

sorry to hijack... but I am thinking of braving some OCZ ram on my P5K-E and then into the MF2 for benching.. and am wondering if anyone can tell me if the DDR2 1150mhz Reaper will fit under the OCZ Ram cooler with those silly heatpipes it has?

Well i went for 8GB G.Skill (4x2GB) PC2-8800 PI, in one review it only OC'ed by about 20MHz, not enough. But in some others it's got to 1150MHz.

Will be interesting trying to get 8GB running at 1139MHz... (my next higher memory divider setting)

My black dragons PC6400 ( yes 800mhz) do 1090mhz 5-5-5-18 so the PC8500 version will probably do 1200 or so I believe ;-).

He is looking to fill up his mobo with 8gb...where's the reading comprehension people? He's not looking for 2x1gb kits!

you dont need a cooler for it, its not even warm to the touch, care airflow is enough
