Hi all, ive been running my OCZ reapers (2x2Gb) fine at 1080mhz, I have just added anoth 2x2gb of Crucial dominators, which again will run fine at that speed on there own.

The problem is as soon as I boot with all 8gb I get a BSOD. I have upped the NB voltage and the Ram voltage which is now allowing me to at least boot into windows but even then I don't seem to be 100% stable. What else can I do? I'm currently running them at 5-5-5-18 and have just loosened to 5-6-6-20 but i'm still not 100%

The board is the Asus P5Q and a Q6600 @ 3.6

What settings should I be using? I don't mind running at 800mhz if it's 100% stable

Thanks

Any other tips for getting them stable

I have them at 5-7-7-22 and have been running prime for the last 45mins ok.

tbh i'm a little gutted they wont run any better but as long as they are stable I'm happy

Thanks for that it's good to know someone has this working ok.

My only though is that it's because I'm mixing modules or I have a board with a Northbridge which won't cope. I had a 2 1/2 hour prime, next time I booted the machine I got a 0x00000007E error, it's very hit and miss, even if I loosen the timings lots and up the NB it still won't always boot! :(

I think I will either have to look for a different board or a full set of identical memory.

I'm not 100% sure which the memory controller is in the BIOS? Do you happen to know on the Asus boards? I thought it was under the NB but perhaps not
