DDR2/DDR3 compatabilty

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to use DDR2 RAM on a DDR3 motherboard, like backwards compatibility? Or are they non compatible? I don't want to upgrade to DDR3 RAM yet and haven't had my 4Gb of DDR2 1066Mhz long enough yet to justify it.

What do you want DDR3 for? You'd need a BIG overclock for higher than 1066 Mhz DDR2 to be of use!
