DDR2 - dual channel ?

I'm new to DDR2. Do you need to run them in pairs of sticks to take advantage of dual channel like with DDR1 ? ..or can you just have one stick ?

Any links to DDR2 info would also be good...ta

thinking of going AM2 you see with a Sempron chip, so I guess a 1GB, 2x512, PC2-5300 pair would be just fine ?

I'm sure to be honest, no one knows what AM2s memory controller will support. I don't even know if 2x512mb and 1gb runs in dual channel on S939, I guess it does but have never actually seen it.
