DDR2 Memory

I have a K9A2 Platinum MB, is the Crucial Ballistix PC8500 compatible? the motherboard manual states 1.8v but these run at 2.2v, do i need to up the voltage in the bios?

I have a pair of Ballistix Tracers atm and they are 2.2v and run ok, although i did have 2 fail in the past 3 years.

If this is the same stuff then the JEDEC settings should mean that the memory kit should run fine at 1.8V 800MHz CL5.

Personally I would try and keep the memory voltage within the specs of the board, instead of overvolting it to meet the specs of the memory kit.

Can you recommend any half decent memory for this board? i need 4gb.

This is a good kit. It may say 1066MHz 2.2V, but according to the datasheet its standard speed is 800Mhz 5-5-5-18 at 1.8V

May I ask what CPU you are running with this board?
