DDR2 or DDR3? (Atom N450 Netbook)

Just about to upgrade my Mum's Acer Aspire One netbook from the standard 1GB to 2GB.

Thing is - I don't know if it's DDR2 or DDR3 I should be buying?

I have fired up CPU-Z and the MEMORY tab states TYPE DDR3. However on the SPD tab, it states DDR2 / PC2-6400.

Would rather use DDR3 as it's cheaper!

N450 = DDR2
N455 = DDR3

Pretty sure my netbook is an N450 and takes DDR3 ram

Mine is an Atom N455 with DDR3, other one is an Atom N450 with DDR2. Turns out the N455 supports DDR2 & DDR3
