I'm thinking of getting a new AM2 system pretty soon. I'll most likely get an X2 4000+ which I'm planning on overclocking a good bit. I'm not sure what DDR2 memory I should go for though, PC-6500 (DDR2-800) or PC-8500 (DDR2-1066). I'm looking at the Corsair stuff at the top of this page.
Does do both sets run at their rated speeds all the time, or is the PC-8500 just guaranteed to run at the higher speed, like PC-4000 DDR? The PC-6500 has much lower latencies so I'm thinking that'd be a good option if it clocks well. I don't really know how DDR2 overclocking works so can anybody shed any light on it for me?
Thanks in advance
