I'm pretty good with hardware but when it comes to reclocking stuff i get rather confused. :-)

I have a pair of Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz:

However when the BIOS kicks in it only shows them at being around DDR2-800mhz.
Am i supposed to increase the mhz in the bios for the CPU so it shows the memory at 1066Mhz??

I'm concerned that i may need to do more (voltages? Multiplier etc?) :p
Thanks

thanks.
Is it a good idea for me to just set the speed or should i really set the timings and the voltage levels too? I'm not considering to overclock at the moment. ;)

What motherboard do you have? It might only support 800mhz Ram. If this is the case, you should be able to reach higher ram speeds when you are overclocking. My RAM is 800mhz, my motherboard supports upto 1066mhz. With my current overclock my RAM runs at 960mhz but 1280mhz is the highest speed divider i could use.
It's an ABIT IP35 PRO with a Q6600
