What is the difference between these two types of RAM. My mobo cant handle a high voltage RAM so requires a 1.8voltage. I see that PC5300 generally have lower temps, are these modules generally slower?

the difference is the speed in that they are guaranteed to run at diff speed

pc6400 = 800mhz
pc5300 = 667mhz

these speeds are guaranteed to run at *** volatges they suggest ( barring you having silly settings ) in a lot of cases the ram can be run faster than that.

if you arnt going to be over clocking
pc5300 should be fine

Depends on what multi your CPU has.
An E2180 has a 10 multi so can there for be OCed from 2ghz (200fsb x 10) to 3ghz (333 x 9) with the RAM running 1:1 (333mhz or PC 5300).
