ddr2 ram 6400 or 8500

i got a p5q pro motherboard with a q6600 and i cant decide what ram to get either 4gb of 8500 or 6400. i will only overclock the cpu to 3.0 or 3.4ghz.
so which would you lot choose? on a budget around 70ish

You only need 6400 really if you have a Q6600, however since this is within your budget and it's really great ram you might as well go for it

With what i know now id go for 800mhz, had nothing but problems with my 1066ram.

i know i said my budget is around 70ish but since im leaning toward the 6400 it is slightly cheaper

I had/have Ballistix 8500.
Seems to work fine on my new IP35 mobo but was nothing but problems on my nvidia based Asus mobo.
