I can't seem to find the DDR2 RAM timings in my BIOS. The RAM also needs 1.85v and the DDR2 Voltage option doesn't support that, anyone else get this?

On the main BIOS screen press CTRL+F1 and go to MIB and you will see all the advanced settings.

Use the [+0.1] RAM voltage option for 1.85V. It's fine. Believe me - give it a couple of hours and you'll be running [+0.3] :D

Thanks, but +0.1 isn't 1.85v or is it?

No, it's 1.9V. But I think you'll find that your RAM is rated at 1.85V+/-10% so anything up to 2.1 is OK.

Yup that's right :)

So how do you work out the voltage like 0.1v being equal to 1.9v?

[adopts patient, but not yet condescending, tone]Because stock is 1.8V and you're adding 0.1V so that makes 1.9V[/tone off]

I need to show you a screenshot of my BIOS screen... I don't see 1.xxx at all. I'll take a screenie for you :)

You don't need to show me a BIOS screen shot. I know what that BIOS looks like. I can reboot one of my machines here and look at it.

You just have to believe me - it's 1.8V, then you add on whatever you select.

You can have 1.8V-2.4V ([+0.0]-[+0.6]).

Now, I appreciate that you've just got this board and you're hitting all these issues, but all your questions are answered in the DS3/DS4/DQ6 thread - in the 1st post!

If you haven't read that then I would suggest you do it now.

see my problem now.... I don't have this screen:

I don't have 1.8v or anything as you can see from my screen shots. And as for the memory timings - I don't have that option either?? I also don't need to press CTRL F1 as it's already there on my main screen.

You have to press CTRL+F1 in the main BIOS screen, then go to MIB tweaker and the extra options are all there.

Are you really Mishima's brother? If he got the brains I hope you're the good-looking one :p

I have Dale Carnegie to thank for it all...

Plus Mishima's a good bloke and I just like to help people... ...And world peace.
