What is the faster ram out of the ones I have selected and why I never did fully understand the difference

The Patriot stuff should be, it has the lowest latency (refresh cycles etc).

i am with beep on this the patriot is the fastest ram but if you want a life time warranty go with the corsair ram also good ram

If I had to pick from those listed I would go for patriot.

Otherwise I would go for some GeiLs but it seems like OCuk doesn't sell them anymore.

thanks for your help I have just ordered the patriot ram to go with an
ASUS P5B-VM Motherboard I hope the two work together looks to be right from the spec I saw

DDR2 is getting expensive... reminds me of DDR1 trend now. Anyway, patriot is the better ram!
