Hi chaps,

I bought some Corsair "1600" ram a while ago. It was a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing though in that it was 10700 memory (1333) with an XMP of 1600 you can manually set.

Would it be a good idea to buy some 12800 memory instead and would I be able to get much better performance out of it? or just tighter timings?

is the ram I have, i think. But its incorrectly listed as 12800
its xmp is 9-9-9-24-41 2T @ 1600

and am I going to be quite limited by the CPU memory controller?
I have a 960T.

Ah ok thanks. I thought I'd be able to overclock them further maybe. Going by what some other people have posted though, it seems that their are minimal actual gains anyway after 1600.
