I have two 2gb sticks of DDR3 patriot sector 5 PC3-12800 (1600MHz), however windows experience index score shows as only 5.9 which i know should be somewhere around 7. I have set these timings 8-9-8-24 1.65V with no luck? can anyone shed any light?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You need to download CPU-Z.

Run this and click on the memory tab.

For 1600MHz CPU-Z should report 800MHz (which is doubled to 1600MHz as it's Double Data Rate).

If it's less than that you'll have to delve into the BIOS to change the speed of the RAM.
