Hi all,

I purchased my PC back in the Summer of 2013 with 2x4GB of Patriot Viper Venom Red 3 (2400MHz). Overclockers unfortunately doesn't stock the dual channel ram anymore.

I have seen dual channel kits named 'Viper 3 Black Mamba'. Will this kit work in my current setup? I was looking to purchase an additional 2x4GB of the same RAM.
Are prices of DDR3 likely to decrease? If not, would you recommend an alternative kit I should purchase and get rid of my current ram?

Check Spoiler for my current spec:

Bro i cant look at the RAM and decide for you if its gonna be weird or not

And i answered your question.

Alright, I'm sorry. Like, I don't know whether to purchase the black version instead, was just hoping you'd give me an answer as if you were in this situation. Would you recommend going for the red again or..? I mean, I know the black works, from what you mentioned earlier but is it still best to go for the red?

Yeah, that was the idea. Should I possibly change to a 4 stick kit instead, but with a lower clock speed, like say for example 2133MHz?

If you need a total of 16 GB of RAM which is what i assume considering you wanna buy more i think you should buy some tight 2133 4x4 kit.

I myself am a big fan of G.Skill, their Ripjaws are very nice.

Ah okay, I'll look into it. Thanks a lot for the help + your time. Much appreciated.
