Hi, im building my 1st pc and i bought this motherboard:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-168-GI

Then i when i looked for ddr3 ram it was all tri-channel, so i bought this ram:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-152-OC

But when i asked a question in another thread and posted what id bought some one said the tri-channel might not be compatable.
Im so confused as there was no other ddr3 ram except tri-channel.
And if it isn't compatable will it run as a matched pair and a single or 3 singles or not at all?

Thanks for any help

Processor is AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 810 2.6GHz (Socket AM3)

Well I wouldnt worry fella. All you've done is buy 2gb too much really.

Just use 2 sticks to maintain dual channel or use all 3 to have 6gb but not run in dual channel.

Personally Id use 4gb in dual channel and keep 1 stick spare.

Tri channel is exclusively for i7 currently and thats what these kits designed for but it will still work in your mobo no probs.

For some reason some peeps think that these kits will only work with i7 when its just exactly the same ram they use for dual channel kits as well.

Thanks :-)
Panic over lol.
Parts arent even here yet and ive already made 2 threads worrying about it, just wait, when it all gets here my post counts gonna rocket ;-)
