DDR3 Upgrade?

Yes and no, it depends on the 775 motherboard.

The ddr3 for i5/i7 runs at a max of 1.65v where as the 775 ddr3 runs at more like 1.8v

Assuming you have a 775 mobo with bios options to lower ram volts to 1.65 then it should be possible.

Depends on the board and the RAM. If you are talking about your x48 s775 board, then it won't work as it doesn't support DDR3 as far as I know. However, if you are referring to a different s775 DDR3 board then it should work, just ensure that the RAM works fine at 1.65V for the P55.
