DDR3 - worth it yet?

Does anyone think that DDR3 is worth the price premium currently? I am just looking at a new build and was considering a DDR3 mboard for the long run. This would mean i would only put in 2 gig though until prices came down, as opposed to 4 gig of DDR2 i would put in.

I will be planning to overclock a Q6600 or similar on water and a good graphics card also. Would the DDR3 pose a problem for overclocking?

Thanks for the inputs guys, think DDR 2 gig more for now and overclock E6300 and 150 quid new gfx card then complete new pc in a year or so with water cooling
