The 8GB stick in my laptop is failing and now looking for 16GB (2x8GB) to replace it, the motherboard supports 2133 and 2400MHz RAM and the price difference between them is £15, which one should I go for?
There isn't much of a difference between them in terms of performance. It's likely that the faster RAM won't be £15 better.
However it is only £15, it depends on how much you value £15.
for example. i recently opted for 2400 mhz DDR4 when I could have went for 3200 mhz because the extra speed isn't worth it. Ended up with 24GB of RAM which is overkill but least I know I will never need to upgrade until it dies.
