DDR4 2666 or 3000

I’m looking at building a new PC. I7-5820k with X99-A USB3.1 motherboard. I cannot decide on what DDR4 to go with. My option is Corsair 32GB (4x8) Vengeance LPX DDR4 Black 2666Mhz C16 or 3000Mhz C15 kit. Which would be better when it comes down to overclocking? I’d like to try for 4.4.

Do you actually need 32Gb, it certainly won't help with O/Cing

Well I plan to run VM's so I thought it would be helpful. The price difference isn't huge but I'm not fully decided. The part I'm lost on is 2666Mhz C16 or 3000Mhz C15.

Will going with 32GB make it harder to OC to 4.4?
