DDR4 4400mhz issue

Hi guys im wondering if anyone can help me quite new to the forum so go easy please

My Basic system spec:
MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI
Ryzen 9 3900X
RX580 GFX
Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RGB 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 4400Mhz C19 Memory

The issue im having is getting the memory to run at its full potential 4400mhz.
Msi website suggests this memory is compatible with my motherboard
motherboard specs are as follows:

DDR4 Momory up to 128gb: 1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667/ 2800/2933 /3000 /3066 /3200 /3466 /3600 /3733 /3866 /4000 /4133 /4266 /4400 + Mhz by JEDEC and A-XMP OC MODE

The memory i purchased also is showing as compatible : R009D408GX2-4400C19A Ver:1.1.4

However the issue im having is i can get 32gb 4x8gb to run at 4400mhz
The most stable i can get this working is 3866mhz at 1.5v over the suggested 1.45v
However if u run just 16gb 2x8gb i can run it at 4400mhz at 1.5v.

now i cant get my head around why it will run 16gb and not 32gb , my psu is a RM750 so should be enough power . my only though is a motherboard limitation? or perhaps because the memory has RGB lights so it taking up extra power?

I have contacted both msi and thermaltake and awaiting responce.

does anyone have any experience in this or could help me configure this memory? after paying £300 im a little disapointed at it only running at 3866mhz over 4400mhz as i could have saved £100 and just brought 4400mhz memory.

Thanks for your replys guys, I had a response from MSI saying similar , because I brought 2 16gb 2x8gb kits, so ideally I need to be looking at buying a 32gb kit , but from what I can see it's better value for me to just run my 32gb ram at 3866mhz than to spend out on a 32gb 4000mhz kit.
Ideall quite disappointed but I guess nothing is ever simple.

Thank you for your informatiom, in this case, we are really sorry, in theory, if you use two or more rams, to ensure system stability, memory modules must be of the same type and density which means the rams should be exactly the same and in one kit, or the pc maybe cannot boot up or work stable. In particular, overclocking requires a relatively high memory stability, from your description, you have installed two kits, even they are the same model, but the stability is still different, we cannot guarantee that every overclocking will succeed. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I feel this is a bit of a get me out of jail excuse, the motherboard boasts it can handle the memory it says it can take the speed, i cant see me buying 2 sets of pairs being any different to buying 1 set of 4 or a set of 2x16gb same speed.

im happy to run at 3866mhz for now , the timings are 19-25-25-45 - though i have read that can also be ran at 20-25-25-45. i would ideally like to find a way to get the voltage down to 1.45 as suggested by thermaltake as not sure 1.5v is any good for the memory or not.
Im not an expert at overclocking or memory timings if anyone has any suggestive bios changes id be happy to give them a try.
 
i jst assumed with it being advertised at a set speed it would potentially run at the speed they specify.
i have played with settings and have found 3866 at 1.45v the most stable settings with the default timings of 19-25-25-45

so i guess that's the best Im going to get at the advertised voltage and timings.

tbh Ive never really ventured in to high clock speed ram this was a impulse buy thinking it would potentially speed up my machine.
Its overall must better than my old ddr4 3200 but knowing what i know now perhaps i wouldn't of spent out on the 4400mhz kit and just stuck with a 4000mhz kit.
 
ok so cant get Thaiphoon or dram calculator to work on my pc for some reason,
however i have changed the timings to 18-22-22-40 running at 3866mhz and appears to be stable so have trimmed them from 19-25-25-45
 
managed to get thaiphoon Burner to read the memory, cant get dram calculator to work just get error
