ddr4 for ryzen, what's best

I have 4 x 8GB of the 8 pack 3200 ram. It runs at 3200c14 with ram at 1.4v, vcore 1.25 and soc at 1.135v. Completely stable for my use and is Samsung b die based.

Not spent too much time to tinker and get it running faster. Ryzen benefits from faster ram speed as it is directly linked to cpu performance. Once you get to about 3000 the gains start to tail off a bit.

I know what you mean, I bought 16GB when it first came out and got the second 16Gb for Christmas.

The reason I paid the price was it works well with Ryzen and hopefully the final Ryzen cpu range on the AM4 socket will have a stronger IMC so I can run it at higher speeds than now if I was to upgrade the cpu in future.

Another vote for 8Pack ram. It is more expensive but it’s the best I’ve used and worked straight out of the box and I was even able to get tighter timings.
