DDR4 when can we expect price drops?

Looking at upgrading CPU and thinking why not 2011, CPU priced OK motherboards priced OK - DDR4 wth ?? Milking it or what ?

Yeah I guess you correct, although wouldn't 2011 be more future proof? 6 cores etc

We've had 6 cores around for a while now and they're no better for gaming than the 4 core i7's.

Skylake is rumoured to have a 20% IPC improvement over Haswell.
