DDR400 in Abit NF7-s v2?

Hi All,

According to my Abit nf7-s v2.0 mobo manual, it supports:

- 3 dimms ddr 200/266/333
- 2 dimms ddr 400
- supports ddr400 only when using an add-on VGA card (NF7-M)

I currently have 2x256 modules in there and they are running at 200mhz fsb.

It seems even value ocuk memory is DDR400.

Does the manual mean that it doesn't support the speed of the faster memory? Or does it mean that it won't work? I.e. can I put in DDR400 and just run it at 200mhz?

Also I seem to remember there is some benefit from running the memory in pairs. If I go for all three slots and 1GB total, that's better than two with 512 total?

Ah MM! :)

I was just thinking about upping the FSB again. If I'm going to get a new memory pair, may get a faster one. Do you know where a typical nf7/barton 2500 tops out? Which gives first?
