My brother has just assembled a new PC, he's got the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI motherboard and says his DDR5 memory is not running at 6000. How do you get the memory to run at 6000 on this motherboard?
To get my DDR5 RAM running at 6000 with my ASRock X670E I needed to upgrade my BIOS a few times, if your brother done that already then please ignore me
He wants me to update the BIOS, which I've downloaded from ASUS. Its a .cap file and apparently doesn't needed to be renamed if you go into the BIOS and use the flash utility. I've put it onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
Follow the instruction which comes with the file but make sure you read the small prints as some versions requires older ones installed first hence the multiple installs.
