hi all, ok so i just put in my 13900k with gigabyte aorus elite ax m/b and kingston fury beast ddr5 pc54800.

ok so in the name of the memory is pc5-4800, but on overclockers it states that the ram runs at 6000mhz, anyway i tried to put 6000mhz into gigabyte control center and it would not boot at all and reset to 4800, so is 4800 actually 6000mhz or am i missing something here or doing something wrong.

part number = kf5 60c36-16

didnt have xmp enabled, ill try that, but im getting a lot of crashes in warzone so might need to format and start again.

ok so been in work so only just got a chance to look at this again, anyway just had a quick look at the bios and put into xmp mode profile 1 ddr5 6000mhz, wouldn't post in xmp mode, now quick question the last m/b i had z390, the ram went into banks 1 and 3, would this be the same or does it make a difference, as the manual is pretty much no existent, not like manuals used to be.

Hi cheers for the reply. Yea wouldnt post at all. Took 10 mimns or so then asked to reset to optimised settings and reboot. But your advice for mem slots seemed to work in slots 2 and 4 with xmp. Now boots at 6000mhz with all core 5.5. NOt sure whether to try 5.8 or not. Not had much time to tinker though with wrok and all that. Had it running fine with warzone yesterday no crashes. Im just deciding whether to upgrade to windows 11 now or not. As the scheduler is supposed to be better. i need to reinstall all my games and progs when i get time.
