history has taught us that ideal ram speeds for ram type double so:
ddr1 = 400mhz
ddr2 = 800mhz
ddr3 = 1600mhz
ddr4 = 3200mhz
so ddr5 should be = 6400mhz
ram did start of slower for each type too just like ddr5 has. e.g ddr3 started off at 800mhz stuff etc
now there are faster ram speeds in the categories e.g 1066mhz in ddr2 and 2133 in ddr3 but for best price to performance the above list is about right.
so i wont bother with ddr5 until 6400 is the main speed available and at cheapo prices.
(quotes speeds are ddr so actual speed of something like ddr3 1600mhz is really 800mhz etc)
