DDR5 Question - CL36 5600 to CL32 6600 (worth it??)

Hi Folks,

I have a 13900k and a Z690MSI board.
Curious if it's worth upgrading the ram at all from CL36 5600 to CL32 6600??

I play games mostly at 3440 x 1440 (175hs Oled) with a RTX 4090.
I know the answer is probably 'no', but to give some context, I just changed out from a 12900k to a 13900k (so I'm not sensible).

Any thoughts would be gratefully received! Thanks.

No it's not worth it but you will probably gain a few FPS if you do.

Not worth imo, especially as anything over 5600 isn't guaranteed to work fine.

I'd say It is definitely WORTH upgrading. Even if you are considering to use 6000Mhz at lower cas than 36. 6600 will be super beneficial here (as ram upgrade can be)

If you are getting faster RAM, I would go for the new higher density sticks (2*24GB) as they seem to get higher speeds using less power. And you also get an extra 16GB using the same number of chips.

Ooh, interesting - I didn't know there were 24GB sticks.
