Hi, i would like to ask your opinion regarding this motherboard:

ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME

My question is does this board fits 4X 32gb ddr5, i have been searching but havent found any information, my concern is theres some boards that only takes 2 dims into it, i dont know if its the same case for this one, is it possible fit 2 packs of

Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum RGB 64GB 5600MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR5 Memory Kit

My intention is have 128gb ram ddr5, please feel free to share your opinion, if this is possible to get it done or not, the reason why is not possible or what alternatives that i can i have if not possible as mentioned before i have been searching but couldnt find answer
Thanks

Just click on the specs on that page.

4 x DIMM, Max. 128GB, DDR5

Intel DDR5 systems have not been very keen on max capacity so far. I don't know what experiences people are having with AM5 yet, but I do know that according to anandtech's launch review, 4 dimms (I assume, dual rank) is only rated to DDR5-3600 and I don't recall seeing any AMD EXPO kits for 128GB. A quick browse would suggest that MSI and Asus don't have any 4 DIMM configurations (of 32GB capacity) in their QVLs.

You might want to ask OCUK directly what their experience is, before you buy.

I have and am currently experiencing the same as Tetras noted when utilising DDR5 at full capacity (126Gb/4x32Gb Modules). It is widely noted that it is an issue with platforms that use DDR5 Intel or AMD. I am not as bad as on 13th Gen as i have not done any dev work on that yet. I have had 4x32Gb Corsair Vengence 5200Mhz running at 4800Mhz in one machine with no issues and then the same spec system i can only get it to run correctly at 4400Mhz I believe the official line from motherboard manufacturers(Intel) is that when fully populated with 4xmodules the memory is only validated to run at 3600(depending on configuration) also on top of that single/dual rank modules can cause issues to arise. If you look here at this Gigabyte QVL for a Z690 chipset motherboard for instance it states that it it can use 4xmodules but there is a *, scroll down and you get this:
* Speed dropping policy according to Intel processor specification (XMP disabled):
DDR5 4800 MHz speed drops down to 4400 MHz when 2 DIMMs of the same channel are populated e.g., DDR5_A1/ _A2. Please adjust your setup according to the recommendation above.
DDR5 4800 MHz speed drops down to 4000 MHz when 4 DIMMs are populated (1Rx8/ x16 modules).
DDR5 4800 MHz speed drops down to 3600 MHz when 4 DIMMs are populated (2Rx8/ x16 modules).
Similar issues are on the AMD X670 platforms when using 4xmodules and according to Asus you can fit 4xmodules but they will only run at the base frequency of the memory when set to Auto rather than DOCP and they are only validated to run at that.
Hope that helps.
