DDR800 or 1066 on GA-MA790X-UD4P

A mate has this board, GA-MA790X-UD4P(like the GA-MA790GP-UD4H but without onboard graphics).
He was given an Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 7850+ Black Edition.
What ram is needed or best for the setup?

i really dont think theres much difference between 800 and 1066 ram..

OCZ gold 1066 are going dirt cheap just now, cheaper than most 800, so why not.?

1066. It should overclock higher than the 800.

Hey... what memory did you get in the end for this board. This is exactly the same combination I am looking at but I'm worried about compatibility at 1066.

I've just been over to the OCZ forums and it seems that the IC's on these chips have compatibility issues with the AMD memory controllers
