DDRII 800 Q

you can either try dropping the latencies (most DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 can hit DDR2-667 3-3-3-8) or overclocking the FSB to hit rated speeds.

i wanted to know if you could use ddr2 800 memory in a
ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA board a long with a e6300

hmm. 333/266= 1.25 or 4:5 multi

so you'll need 320 FSB to hit DDR2-800 on the DDR2-667 setting. That'll Oc you E6300 to 2.25Ghz or thereabouts, which it should do easily.

I maxed out my DUAL-VSTA at 301 FSB, not sure how the 4Core does though, and watch for the memory voltages, as the DUAL-VSTA gave 2.0Vdimm on its "High" setting, and some DDR2-800 needs more than that.

thanks simonnance

i wasn't going to clock it really. just wanted to know if
it would run the ddr2 800 memory or down clock it to 667

sweet thanks for the help simonnance m8

i may clock it up a bit. but the systems for my sister not me :)
